Paul Frost Clementsen is inspired by unusual events in everyday life, which not everyone notices. In addition, the author Max Bodenhoff is a source of inspiration.

As stated by Max Bodenhoff:

"The paintings of Paul tell stories in the twilight zone where dreams and reality intersect, with seemingly normal objects placed in obscure settings. Often one is in doubt what the motive of the painting really is. Is it a fish, a submarine or a travelling mountain? Sometimes gravity is out of order, which means that everything from landscapes to colossal spheres are kept floating. This gives them a mystical touch, often with a sense of humor. The paintings are colourful representations of movement inspiring a sense of freedom and progress. The paintings challenge the viewer´s fantasy."
